We are pleased to announce the release of “Polish Americans React to President William McKinley’s Assassination” lesson plan! These educational materials have been created to engage students with digitized Polish-American newspapers. Students will learn how to find evidence of the past, detect bias in newspaper articles, and place current immigration issues in a historical context. The lesson includes an educator outline, student worksheet and presentation.
To access the lesson, visit the Outreach page and click on Lesson Plans. We plan to create additional lesson plans under the “External and Internal Perceptions of United States Immigrants” theme over the coming months.
